Integrative Movement Specialist
Heather is continually amazed by the transformative power of movement in her own body and the bodies of others. This potential for transformation has been the driving force behind her work since she began teaching in 2004, and it is the primary inspiration for this studio.
Her training has taken her around the world, studying with top instructors including Gyrotonic Method creator Juliu Horvath. She believes that true health is multi-dimensional, and she works with each client to discover how their movement training can best serve their overall wellness.
Her extensive training and detailed knowledge of anatomy, combined with years of experience, allow her to work with a wide variety of clients. Her experience includes work with athletes and dancers as well as those with shoulder and neck pain, scoliosis, spine issues of many varieties, hip replacement, foot and ankle issues, knee pain, and stroke recovery.
Each client has unique needs, and Heather creatively combines her full range of skills in every session. Heather’s sessions use the Gyrotonic methodology as their framework but may also incorporate elements of massage, Pilates, or life coaching as indicated.
Heather is also a licensed Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis pre-trainer under master trainer Lisa Lansing. She is honored to have this opportunity to share the joy of the Gyrotonic method with new instructors.

Darlene loves to work with people to explore their goals and find their true potential. Her philosophy is that the groundwork of all happiness is good health. She loves to have fun, laugh, and challenge people with workouts that are unique and specific to their body. Her sessions blend all of her training to get the best results for her clients.

Amy loves to explore and share the unlimited potential of movement as a means to connect to oneself and to others. Her teaching is based on this exploration, combined with her passion to help others learn how they can help themselves.
Her earliest memories of movement observation began around age 3 while watching her mother in ballet rehearsals. Since then, her training has included classical ballet, modern dance, yoga, Pilates, Franklin Method, swimming, Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic, all of which have coalesced to inform her current teaching methods. It was during a stressful period in college when Amy found the immense benefits of regular yoga practice and wanted to be able to share this knowledge with others. After graduation, Amy completed yoga teacher training through RussaYog in Ann Arbor, where she taught for several years and worked with studio founder, Jasprit Singh, to create a method blending yoga and dance called Yoga Ballet Balance. She also continued her interest in Pilates at this time through several teacher training courses.
Although all of these methods have contributed to the awareness and intelligence of her body, the greatest change has come from her experience in the Gyrotonic Method, having witnessed transformative changes in her body and mind. Amy is thrilled to be able to share this method with others and create a unique experience for each person: whether you are dealing with chronic injury, a top level athlete, or just looking for a way to move better, there are unlimited ways to explore and expand your potential.
Amy is a professional dancer currently working with DDCdances, a choreographer, and also teaches ballet.

Leslie first began her study of Pilates after the birth of her son. She immediately connected with the strength and stability that the method offered to her body. Inspired by her results, she started her certification training in 2008. As a lifelong lover of fitness, she feels truly fortunate to have a career that allows her to share her passion with others. Her goal for every session is to implement a program that leaves the client feeling like they’ve worked every muscle group in a purposeful way. An avid runner who has completed three marathons, her fitness philosophy is to challenge yourself every day, and at least once a week, commit to a session that pushes you to go past your comfort zone.

Massage & Bodywork
Rob is a graduate of the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy (AAIMT). He is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has a particular interest in therapeutic work to help people with chronic pain. He earned certificates in myofascial release and neuromuscular therapy from AAIMT and is a third degree trained Reiki Practitioner. Rob is passionate about aromatherapy and incorporates essential oils into his practice. Rob has received training in Raindrop Technique and He is a Certified Aroma Freedom Technique Practitioner.
Rob is an active musician and teacher and enjoys sharing his gifts and talents with performing artists. His mission within that community is to help performing artists: recover from injury, develop healthy musician making practices and prevent injuries for a lifetime of music making.

Desirée Rasmer, RYT 200
Desirée has been developing a personal yoga practice for over 15 years, and has newly been called to share her experiences through teaching. Desirée studied at Yoga Maya with a focus on Theraputic, Gentle, Hatha, and Mantra Yoga. Through this training, she began to dive more deeply and fully into a devoted meditation practice, ultimately yoking her spiritual relationship
with her physical yoga practice. This relationship is evident in her approach to teaching, as she seeks to illuminate the multiple layers beyond the physical practice of yoga- with a focus on function over form. As a teacher, she aims to create a safe and sacred space that facilitates deep healing, connectivity, and transformation in mind, body, and spirit. As a Biologist, herbal student, and long time nature lover- Desirée is quite at home among the elements, and is most excited about exploring movement, breath, and sound as divine, authentic expressions of the natural world.
Kids Yoga Instructor
Jamie received her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Western Michigan University and practiced speech therapy for 7 years before deciding to pursue her passion for health and wellness full time. She obtained her ACSM personal trainer certification followed by her yoga certification through School Yoga Institute, and then her ACE Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification. She currently spends most of her time
taking care of her two young children, Callie and Ozzie. In her “free” time, she enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, exploring, reading and learning whatever she can!
